Day 1: Reach Srinagar
On arrival at Srinagar Airport you will be met by our representative & transferred to the Houseboat. Rest of the at leisure on own. Evening leave for Shikara ride for visit to Dal lake. Back to Houseboat. Overnight at Houseboat
Day 2: Kargil (204kms/6-7hrs)
This morning after an early breakfast we will drive to Kargil which bears resemblance to a typical Central Asian town, passing Sonmarg & Zoji La and Drass – the second coldest inhabited place on earth after Siberia. Arrive at Kargil, check into hotel
Day 3: Leh
After an early breakfast , we will start our drive to Leh seeing the transformation as we traverse from one world to another, regionally as well as “religionally”, from primarily Muslim Kargil district to Buddhist Leh district . Drive to the 11th Century Lamayuru Monastery enroute visiting the mesmerizing Moon Landscapes (you will understand now the reason behind this region being referred to as “Moonland” – exactly similar formations of land are visible as on the moon), Lamayuru is spectacularly located along the valley plain and surrounded by mountains on all sides. Later drive to Leh for an overnight stay at your Hotel.
Journey towards the ancient Silk Route via the highest motorable road on earth (Khardungla 18384 feet). Visit the famous Deskit Gompa of Nubra Valley. Walk on the sand dunes and ride the double humped camel (Bactrian camels brought to Ladakh by ancient Silk Route traders). Night Stay in Nubra.

Day 4: Leh
By late afternoon we come back to Leh and chill or roam around Shanti Stupa, Leh Palace & Leh Monastery.

After breakfast we drive to Nubra Valley. The road journey from Leh to Nubra Valley passes over Khardung La (The Highest Motorable Road In The World) at 5,602 Mtrs / 18,380 ft, around 39 km from Leh. From the pass, one can see all the way south over the Indus valley to seemingly endless peaks and ridges of the Zanskar range, and north to the giants of the Saser massif. Nubra Valley is popularly known as Ldumra or the valley of flowers. It is situated in the north of Ladakh between the Karakoram and Ladakh ranges of the Himalayas. The average altitude of the valley is 10,000 Ft. above sea level.

Upon arrival in Nubra we check in at our Camp / Hotel in Hunder for Overnight stay. In the evening you can walk around the tiny villages to see how the locals live in this part of the world.  Overnight Stay at the Camp or Hotel.


 After breakfast drive towards Pangong lake via Shayok river and Agham village, by evening reach at Pangong Lake situated at 13,930 feet. This famous high altitude Lake of Pangong is 5- 8Kms wide and over 140 Kms long with 30 % in India and 70% in China. This large, serene lake forms a brilliant color variation including deep blue, dark green, turquoise,etc Upon arrival in Pangong we check in at our Camp / Hotel for overnight stay.

Pangong Tso(140 kms)
Discover the myriad colours and shades of Pangong lake. Leave Leh in the morning, en route visiting Shey Palace, the ancient capital of Ladakh & 3idiots Rancho School and also visit Thiksey , an impressive complex rising tier upon tier on a hill above the village. Reach Pangong by crossing the third highest motor able pass (Changla at 5486 mtrs) on earth. Spend good 3-4 hours by the great Pangong Tso(5-6kms wide & 134 km in length) , 2/3rd of which lies inside the China border. Admire the quietude around the lake as we share memories of the past week. Overnight at Camps by the Pangong Lake.
Day 7: Pangong – Leh
Wake up calls by the migratory birds this morning. Indulge in the walk beside the lake or go for a photography splurge. Later depart for Leh en route visit Hemis Gompa. Further en-route to Leh, we have an RLT Special experience of tea at the house of a local Ladakhi at Stok village & admire the local architecture. Arrive at Leh in second half. Evening free. Overnight in Leh.
Day 8: Leh – Jispa
Take the Roads Less Travelled With our Ladakh Road Trips ..!!

Today after an early breakfast start our journey back. The nomadic people Changpas are most outstanding feature of this area. They can be seen moving from one place to other grazing herds of goats, sheep and yaks. Changpas pass their days with their animals and move with their flocks, their only wealth from pasture to pasture according to changing season. Their flocks, their yaks, and goat’s hair furnish the raw material of which they make their ropes, their clothes and shoes. Even towards the fag end of the twenty first century, they belong to a primitive pre-historic age, Proceed towards Jispa, crossing the high altitude passes of Tanglalang La , Lachangla & Baralachala. On arrival at Jispa check into camp at Jispa/ Keylong
Day 09: Manali
After breakfast leave for Manali (5-6 hours drive via Rohtang Pass), where landscape changes from arid & rugged to lush green Manali side . On arrival at Manali proced to hotel. The rest of the day is free at leisure ( on own). Overnight at Manali
Day 10: Departure
Transfer to the bus stop to board your Volvo bus back to Delhi with fond memories of your great holiday
